Real Madrid will enter the new year with two games in the Spanish League, against Iberostar Tenerife (January 2) and MoraBanc Andorra (January 4).

Coach Pablo Laso talked about the upcoming challenges and he also confirmed that Sergio Llull and Gabriel Deck likely won’t be on the roster for the two games.

“In this calendar, any little problem takes you out of the games. Both Deck and Llull had discomfort in the previous match against Anadolu Efes. They are doing tests and it will be difficult for them to play in Tenerife and Andorra. I hope they recover as soon as possible. The rest of the squad is doing well despite fatigue. All teams are the same as us at this point,” he said, per AS.

Real’s first EuroLeague clash will be against Olimpia Milano on January 8 and it remains to be seen who Laso will be able to count on by then. The coach wished for health and for everything to return to normal during 2021.

“I ask for health and for this situation we are experiencing to pass. I hope we get back to normal. Hopefully, 2021 is a great year and brings us better things than 2020.”
