Alberto Abalde showed up for a 24-point performance and led Real Madrid to a road win over MoraBanc Andorra

Alberto Abalde stepped up for Real Madrid and led the ‘Whites’ to a 75-69 road win against MoraBanc Andorra in the Spanish Liga Endesa.

Abalde logged his best game yet since arriving in Real Madrid with 24 points on 4-8 from deep, four rebounds and three assists.

Trey Thompkins added 14 and Jaycee Carroll ten points. For Andorra, Babatunde Olumuyiwa and Clevin Hannah scored 13 each in addition to Tomasz Gielo’s ten points.

This was Real Madrid’s second win in 2021, after getting past Iberostar Tenerife two days ago, while their game against UCAM Murcia has been postponed due to the latter having problems with coronavirus positives.

The Whites improved to 16-1 as they stay untouched at the top of the standings while Andorra falls to a 7-9 record after losing three straight games.

Valencia also stepped on the court the same night and was victorious as well with 91-80 on the scoreboard in the road game vs Joventut Badalona.

Joan Sastre and Mike Tobey led the way with 15 points each while Derrick Williams added 12 and Nikola Kalinic 11 points.

For Joventut, Ante Tomic score 15, Xabier Lopez-Arostegui 14 and Simon Birgander 13 points.
