Achille Polonara (15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists) led seven Baskonia players in double figures in the 90 – 74 win over Fuenlabrada that concluded Day 24 in the Spanish ACB League.
Apart from Polonara, Tadas Sedekerskis, Rokas Giedraitis and Yousoupha Fall had 12 points apiece. Alec Peters scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds, Luca Vildoza and Ilmane Diop dropped 10 points apiece while Pierria Henry dished out 10 assists to go with his four points.
Fuenlabrada was overwhelmed by Baskonia‘s offense and didn’t manage to match its strength. Melo Trimble finished with 20 points, Leo Meindl scored 15 points and Kyle Alexander 10.
After a EuroLeague upset to ASVEL, Nikola Mirotic (21 points in 17:34) pushed Barcelona to a win over Joventut Badalona in the league’s “Catalan derby” and a strong reaction. The Blaugrana welcomed Victor Claver back in action after five months and the Spanish forward finished with eight points and six rebounds.
Ferran Bassas had 15 points for Joventut.
Standings leader Real Madrid made short work of San Pablo Burgos thanks to a dominant Edy Tavares (27 points, seven rebounds).
