Nicolas Laprovittola took it from where he left it with his game-winner against Barcelona, by scoring 21 points and dishing out nine assists to lead Real Madrid past Lenovo Tenerife 84 – 76. It was victory no. 28 for the Blancos in 29 Spanish League games this season.

Marcelinho Huertas dropped 23 points for third-placed Tenerife that fell to 23 – 5. The visiting squad erased a 59 – 49 deficit in the beginning of the fourth period with a 0 – 10 run and even took a lead 61 – 62 lead with seven minutes to play. Real regained the advantage and responded with six unanswered points for the 75 – 68.

A 3-pointer by Jaycee Carroll and a dunk by Jeff Taylor gave Madrid a 80 – 72 advantage with two minutes to play, a margin which proved to be safe enough for their team.

Edy Tavares contributed 15 points and seven rebounds to Real’s win while Carroll finished with 13 points. Giorgi Shermadini (15 points, six rebounds) and Emir Sulejmanovic (12 points, seven rebounds) also scored in double figures for Tenerife.
