Real Madrid beat Bilbao 70 – 59 to secure the first seed in the 2021 Spanish ACB League. While the “Blancos” improved to 33-2 to clinch top spot, their opponents are 9 – 26 and tied wth Estudiantes for the second-to-last place in the standings.
Jaycee Carroll scored 12 points, Fabien Causeur dropped 11 points while Vincent Poirier posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds for Real Madrid. Pablo Laso’s team went up 45 – 25 at halftime, a deficit that Bilbao was unable to overcome completely.
Ondrej Balvin finished with 13 points plus nine rebounds and Jaroslaw Zyskowski had 13 points for Bilbao.
