Reports from earlier this year stated that Jaycee Carroll was willing to play for another season at Real Madrid and, while the veteran sharpshooter has an offer on the table, the fact remains that he is still in the US and hasn’t made a decision regarding his future with the club, as Pablo Laso explained.

The coach noted that Carroll currently isn’t available for the upcoming ACB Supercopa which is set to start tomorrow (11/9) with Real Madrid facing Tenerife in late hours.

“Carroll is in the United States and we don’t have him. I do not look very long-term, today Carroll is not going to play the Super Cup, I hope he will play on Sunday, but he is not here. He is a player we value, we love him, he’s very Madridista, but he’s not going to be in the Super Cup,” Laso said, per MARCA, and added.

“We have great respect for him, he is the foreigner with most games in the team, which says a lot about how important he has been. I don’t reveal anything if I say that he has always generated many offensive situations for us, but now he’s not here.”

Across his 10-season presence with the Whites, Carroll has been crowned EuroLeague champion twice (2015, 2018), while he has also helped Real lift 5 Spanish League titles. Last season, he averaged 9.4 points on 40% three-point shooting across 31 EuroLeague games with 15 minutes of playing time.
