Barça has beaten Joventut Badalona 92-82 to win the Catalan League. After two years in which Manresa and Andorra got the title, this is the first time that Barcelona under Sarunas Jasikevicius wins in the final, in what’s practically a pre-season tournament, but also has a special local meaning.
Nikola Kalinic with 17 points, 11 of them in the last period were the key for the winning side, while Badalona got 16 points by Henry Ellenson, also 16 from Simon Birgander, and 15 by Ante Tomic. Kyle Guy had 10 points with 3/5 threes.
Nikola Mirotic is not yet ready to return to action, he missed this tournament and will also miss the upcoming Spanish SuperCup this weekend.
Alex Abrines, Sertac Sanli, and Nicolas Laprovittola added 12 points each.
