Nicolas Laprovittola set the tone early and finished the game with 25 points as FC Barcelona kept Lenovo Tenerife at bay on the way to a 67-65 win.

As a result, Real Madrid remains the only undefeated team in Spanish Liga Endesa at the moment (4-0), while Barcelona is tied with Tenerife and Gran Canaria at 4-1.

Sasu Salin with 22 points had an admirable game for the Basketball Champions League defending champions who trailed just by two (27-25) after a really tense first half.

Barcelona managed to lead by 11 (40-29) in the third period after a three by Laprovittola and entered the last quarter leading by six (48-42).

Tenerife couldn’t get into sticking distance until six seconds before the final buzzer with Elgin Cook dunking the ball and trimming Barcelona’s lead to three (65-62). Laprovittola was fouled, made his free throws, and sealed the deal (67-62).

Tim Abromaitis scored at the buzzer a three-pointer, but time was up for the guests. Cook finished the game with 17 points.
