Just three days after the brawl against Partizan in EuroLeague, Gabriel Deck and Guerschon Yabusele were in the starting five against Zaragoza in ACB, but Valter Tavares remains out with an injury. Real had a lot of trouble this game but managed to get a W with a late-game push for the final score 93-86.

The five-game suspension for Yabusele and one for Deck do not apply to ACB and they both had a role in today’s victory. Especially Deck who had 19 points and nine rebounds, Yabusele who body-slammed Dante Exum just three days ago, played 35 minutes, and had 4 points and 4 rebounds.

Zagraza had a 14 points advantage at one point during the third quarter but could not hold on till the end as Real made a crucial push during the finale 10 minutes to seal the deal as they now prepare to travel to Belgrade where they will play against Partizan in game 3 on Tuesday. The Serbian side has a huge 2-0 advantage after two games in Madrid but will play without Mathias Lesort (one game) and Kevin Punter (two games) who also received suspensions of their own after the Madrid brawl.

Nigel Williams-Goss added 19 points for Real this game, while Dzanan Musa finished with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

As for Zaragiza, Borisa Simanic had 20 points and 8 rebounds.
