Gran Canaria reaches an agreement with Dreamland Studios Canarias to be the main sponsor of the Club for the next six seasons.
This is an agreement that will give the Club greater stability and is a long-term commitment for the next six seasons. Dreamland Studios Canarias will be located in the municipality of Telde and aims to be the largest audiovisual and technological center in Europe, promoted by Grupo Newport and Lopesan.
The first team will be renamed Dreamland Gran Canaria and will debut their kit with the new main sponsor in the first Endesa League Playoff game against Real Madrid, which will take place next Sunday the 28th.
In the presentation of the sponsorship, the president of CB Gran Canaria, Sitapha Savané, stated that “this is a very important agreement on the part of our Club, after two seasons without a main sponsor.” Regarding the negotiation, he argued that “we have been working and advancing for two months now” and that it is the “longest sponsorship in the history of the Club, which demonstrates the commitment of Dreamland Studios Canarias to walk together for a long time”. Finally, the president wanted to thank “for having seen what we all see in our Granca, one of the largest vehicles on the island to transmit a brand and collaborate for a long time.”
Next, Yasmina Newport, CEO of the Newport Group, took the floor, who stated that “Granca was one of the largest dissemination supports” and stressed that “it is an honor and pride to be able to link our brand to Gran Canaria, by commercial area and diffusion, but also for the social commitment and the values that the Club represents. To conclude her intervention, she hoped that “through this contribution she would continue to reap successes like the recent EuroCup.”
Dreamland is presented as the largest set in Europe, intended for the largest film productions, which will have 6,000 square meters, another 2,500-meter set, a set for underwater filming, Water Tank, one of the most demanded facilities for productions that recreate the ocean, or different underwater worlds.
The film studios will also have pre-production, production and post-production facilities, with editing and editing rooms, digital or sound environments, and the Alisios supercomputer, a computer that measures its power in teraflops and will provide solutions for large industry clients.
Dreamland Studios, introduces a new industrial model, based on digitization, and in this sense develops the DreamLab concept, world-class facilities that will produce the most advanced projects in AAA video games, virtual reality total immersion leisure productions, generation of 3d and 2d Animation content, creation of applications and games for mobile devices under work environments based on Artificial Intelligence.
