Rokas Jokubaitis scored 14 out of his season-high 20 points in the fourth quarter to push Barcelona past Granada 80 – 69 in a game for Round 12 of the 2023-24 Spanish ACB League regular season.
Jokubaitis also hit the 3-pointer that was the dagger of the game, making it 77 – 69 with 1:30 to play. Granada was up 65 – 66 halfway through the fourth period but everything was about Barcelona from that moment as the hosts scored five straight points and ultimately finished the game with an 8-0 run in the last 2:40 minutes to get the win.
Jan Vesely dropped 13 points for Barca and Willy Hernangomez added 11 points (six in the last quarter) along with five rebounds.
Kwan Cheatham led Granada with 17 points. Dennis Kramer had 13 points plus five rebounds while Cristiano Felicio posted 12 points plus 13 rebounds as their team dropped to 3-9.
Meanwhile, Bilbao pulled off a stunner against Valencia on the road with an 85 – 79 win behind 23 points by Melwin Pantzar. Real Madrid continued its dominant run by crushing Rio Breogan 91 – 58 at home.
