Last playing in Europe with Olympiacos during the 2016-17 EuroLeague season, Khem Birch has now made his return to the Old Continent after ending his NBA chapter, officially signing with Basquet Girona in the ACB.

The Canadian national team member, who played in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, reached the EuroLeague Final with the red-and-white Greek side in 2017. Then, Khem Birch moved to Orlando, where he stayed until 2021 with the Magic, before making the jump to his native country with Toronto, playing with the Canadian franchise until 2023.

His best season in the NBA came in 2020-21, averaging 11.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Waived by the San Antonio Spurs after being involved in the trade that sent Jakob Poeltl to the Raptors, he didn’t find another opportunity in the NBA.
