After trailing by seven points early in the third period, Real Madrid dominates the rest of the way

Returning to Spain’s Liga Endesa, Real Madrid restored a double-digit lead after the break and built up a 23-point advantage at MoraBanc Andorra.

Punching in a win, 89-70, retained the top spot of the domestic league on Sunday. A solid showing countering the home loss to Panathinaikos Aktor in Round 27 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season on Thursday.

Guerschon Yabusele delivered a team-high 18 points. Walter Tavares posted a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double, Facundo Campazzo threw in 14 points, eight assists, and four rebounds, and Gabriel Deck had 14 points for the reigning EuroLeague champions and most recently Copa del Rey winners in Malaga. Leading scorer Dzanan Musa sat out Round 23 of the ACB Regular Season along with Rudy Fernandez.

For the losing side, Jerrick Harding produced a game-high 19 points. Jean Montero paired 14 points with ten assists. The team guided by Natxo Lezkano sits two games safe from the relegation zone.

Big wins for Valencia and Barca; Baskonia falls to Gran Canaria

Following Real Madrid‘s success, Valencia and Barcelona also secured victories in Round 23 of the ACB League. Alex Mumbru’s side defeated Palencia 111-93, while the Catalans dominated Zaragoza 109-68.

Damien Inglis led Valencia with 18 points, Semi Ojeleye added 17, Kassius Robertson contributed 13 points, while Brendon Davies and Chris Jones each added 11.

For Barça, Willy Hernangomez dominated Zaragoza with a 23-point, 14-rebound double-double, while Dario Brizuela added 16, and Joel Parra scored 14 points. Jabari Parker and Oriol Pauli also finished in double figures with 12 points apiece, and Rokas Jokubaitis added 11.

After three Spanish EuroLeague sides emerged victorious, the fourth fell as Baskonia couldn’t find a way against Gran Canaria on the road, losing 98-80.

Cody Miller McIntyre had a great game with 24 points, six assists, and five rebounds, but his only support came from Chima Moneke with 13 and Nikos Rogavopoulos with 11 points.

Nicolas Brussino and Sylvan Landesberg led the EuroCup reigning champions with 15 points each, while Ethan Happ added 13, and Ben Lammers and John Shurna contributed 11 points each.
