Jabari Parker scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Barcelona to an 81 – 75 road win over Basquet Girona in a game for Round 29 of the Spanish ACB League regular season.
With the score 66 – 68, Parker had four straight points out of a 3 – 7 run for Barcelona. Nicolas Laprovittola put the visiting side up 71 – 77 with 47 seconds remaining and then hit free throws to secure his team’s victory.
Laprovittola finished with 18 points, 11 of them in the final period. Ricky Rubio provided Barcelona with 10 points.
Ike Iroegbu paced Girona with 25 points. Stefan Djordjevic had added 14 points plus six rebounds for the hosts that finished the game shooting just 4-4 free throws against Barca’s 23 – 27.
While Girona dropped at 10 – 18 (tied with Andorra for 13th), the third-placed Barcelona moved to 20 – 9.
