Focusing on Round 31 of Spain’s Liga Endesa Regular Season amid a best-of-five series versus ACB rival Baskonia in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs, Real Madrid pulled away in the fourth quarter to secure a win, 79-69, against Monbus Obradoiro in WiZink Center on Sunday.

Bouncing back from a scoreless showing against Baskonia on Friday, Dzanan Musa recorded a team-high 13 points in 16 minutes. French imports Fabien Causeur and Guerschon Yabusele followed with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Walter Tavares chipped in ten points and eight rebounds in a sixth win in a row across all competitions for the team coached by Chus Mateo. Before Game 3 of the series opposite Baskonia, the reigning EuroLeague champions ruled out Sergio Rodriguez and Gabriel Deck for the domestic contest.

Presenting the biggest threat to Los Blancos, Thomas Scrubb ended up with a game-high 25 points behind 10/13 field goals, including three triples. Artem Pustovyi finished with 11 points. Forced to 8-23, the team coached by Moncho Fernandez is battling to avoid relegation from Spain’s top-tier division.

Barcelona conceded 108 points ahead of EuroLeague Playoffs Game 3 in Piraeus

Barcelona tied the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoff series with Olympiacos by winning Game 2, but suffered a heavy loss in the ACB League before the third clash, the first in Piraeus (30/04). Roger Grimau’s side fell to MoraBanc Andorra on the road 108-92.

It was a heavy defeat for Barcelona before their trip to Greece, but Grimau obviously wanted to rest some key players before the very important match in the EuroLeague Playoffs.

Joel Parra ended up as the top scorer with 22 points, Willy Hernangomez added 15 with eight boards, while Dario Brizuela scored 13 and Oscar Da Silva 10 points.

Jerrick Harding led the way with 20 points, Stan Okoye added 15, Mihailo Andric and Jean Montera scored 14 apiece, while Rafa Luz had 11 points and eight assists, and Tobias Borg contributed 10 points.
