Walter Tavares was dominant with a double-double

While Barcelona is currently going up against Unicaja on the road, Real Madrid started their ACB Quarter-Finals with a home success over Baskonia, winning 82-76.

Walter Tavares had a huge double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds, dominating at the rim.

Alberto Abalde (14 points), Facundo Campazzo (12 points), and Mario Hezonja (10 points and 7 rebounds) joined the Capoverdian center in dragging Real.

Markus Howard was the clear protagonist on Baskonia, as he finished with a losing effort of 17 points and 6 steals; Chima Moneke and Luka Samanic each added 12 points.

In the first two opening games of this year’s ACB Quarter-Finals, La Laguna Tenerife and Valencia Basket, respectively, beat Joventut Badalona and Dreamland Gran Canaria.

Marcelinho Huertas scored 39 points at 42 years of age, continuing his unbelievable season as MVP of the Spanish league.
