Joventut Badalona and Real Madrid closed out Round 6 of the Liga Endesa.
And the duel between two of the best teams in the competition did not disappoint.
Real Madrid secured a victory, defeating Joventut Badalona 75-80.
Trey Lyles was once again the best player for Real Madrid, this time with 8 points and 9 rebounds. However, the player who likely left the best impression was Alex Len, who contributed 12 points and played some significant minutes.
Tomic’s impressive performance (16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists) wasn’t enough for the home team.
During the first half, Hezonja’s absence wasn’t a problem for Scariolo’s men, but everything went wrong after halftime, especially in the final quarter.
Despite holding a comfortable 57-71 lead that seemed to seal the victory, Real Madrid witnessed a spectacular comeback from Joventut Badalona. In the blink of an eye, the scoreboard reflected a 75-76, an 18-5 run that gave us a very close finish in which the visitors managed to survive.
