Leading Laboral Kutxa to three victories during February, Velimir Perasovic was named coach of the month for the Spanish Championship.
Perasovic achieved the same results with Xavi Pascual (Barcelona) and Aito Reneses (Gran Canaria), but there were some tie – breaking criteria that made the difference in favor of Baskonia‘s coach.
Laboral Kutxa had one victory away from home, and won its opponents with bigger differences than the ones with which Barcelona and Gran Canaria defeated theirs. Also winning Valencia was also taken under heavy consideration since it was a victory over the first team in the standings.
Overall, the team from Vitoria won Valencia 79 – 73, Obradoiro on the road 86 – 69 and Estudiantes 101-77.
