The Superior Sports Council of Spain (CSD) decided in agreement with the Spanish basketball federation (FEB) that the deal signed between the league ACB and Euroleague should be considered voided.

If this happens, then the FIBA sanction towards the Spanish national team, which for the moment is banned from Eurobasket 2017, will be lifted. However the league already answered with an official press release to CSD in which the answer is that such a decision is unnecessary. It remains to be seen how things will play out, since the ACB has a deal with Euroleague according to which the top team of the classification – with the exception of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Laboral Kutxa who have a 10 year deal -from the 2016-17 season will gain a B license in the Euroleague.
