Leading Barcelona to the first place in the standings of the regular season in Liga Endesa, Xavi Pascual was named “Best Coach of the Regular Season” for the fourth time in his career.
The Blaugrana finished the season with 29 victories and only 5 defeats, a record which matches their second-best performance since the current system of the championship was established in 1996/1997.
After winning the award also in 2010, 2011 and 2012 Xavi Pascual was once again chosen for the honor by the Spanish Association of Basketball Coaches. “It reflects the good track of the team”, said the coach of the Catalans. “I am especially happy because of this. We had a difficult competition against opponents of high level. But we have been the most consistent team all these months”.
