Giorgos Bogris was a guest in a Greek TV talk-show last night. Even though the show’s main subject has to do with showbiz, the center of Bilbao was, naturally, asked some questions related to basketball.
Perhaps Bogris’ most impressive answer came after a question regarding the possibility of playing to Olympiacos. “If I’d go to Olympiacos? I have a contract with Bilbao but there is a buy out. If Olympiacos told me to come, I’d leave Athens, go to Bilbao and then return…. on foot. I’d tell them that I need about a month in order to get here”, was Bogris’ reply.
The Greek play also talked about Dimitris Diamantidis and Vassilis Spanoulis. “I keep one fact about Vassilis. Once, he missed two crucial free throws in a game. Then on the next day, he went to the gym and shot 500. About Diamantidis, I have to say that he always tried to help even the last player in the team’s rotation to be integrated in the team and learn as much as possible. I was that guy when I played in Panathinaikos. None of them is a ‘diva'”.
