The 2015/2016 season was really impressive for Facu Campazzo. With 13 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds per game, the Argentinian point guard led Murcia to the Liga Endesa playoffs, making the most out of his loan from Real Madrid.
Considering Sergio Rodriguez’s departure for the Philadelphia 76ers, Campazzo may come back to Real Madrid and find that a bigger role in the team is waiting for him. When asked by Reloj 24, if he is excited about this kind of prospect, he answered that: ” Without a passport, many doors close and with it, many open. I still have a contract with Real Madrid, so it doesn’t only have to do with my decision, but I depend on them. Obviously, I want to continue climbing steps in my career but I do not a rule out a return to Murcia because the team will play in Eurocup.”
He then talked about the process of getting a passport with the Italian nationality “We must be patient because it is goes very slow. Perhaps in February, March… or April, there will be an Italian passport. It opens up many possibilities for a team that might want me”.
