Jaycee Carroll scored 23 points with 5/8 from the perimeter as Real Madrid downed Zaragoza 98 – 78 on the road to get its 22th victory in 29 Liga Endesa games.
The “Blancos” entered the match rather angry, grabbing a 15-point lead (14 – 29) at the end of the first quarter and never allowed the control of the match off their hook. Zaragoza may have managed to close halftime down by 10, 41 – 51 but their opponents dominated afterwards to enter the fourth period up 57 – 75 and set the pace for their comfortable win.
Sergio Llull (14 points, 5 assists) and Jonas Maciulis (14 points) also had key contributions for the winners.
Zaragoza is now 9 – 20 and 14th at the table. Henk Norel was the top performer of his team with 16 points and 6 rebounds, while Adas Juskevicius added 14 points.
