Valencia was too strong for Baskonia in the end and grabbed the first important win.

Valencia survived a tough competition against Baskonia and prevailed 82-83 in Vitoria, making the 1-0 in their semifinals series.

After leading the first quarter 22-21, Baskonia sped up in the second to enjoy a 43-33 advantage at halftime. The visitors took control in the final period, and even when the Vitoria side threatened, they managed to keep a slight lead until the end.

Fernando San Emeterio led the winners with 24 points and 7 rebounds, while Bojan Dubljevic also scored in double digits with 15 points.

For Baskonia, Shane Larkin tapped 17 points and handed 8 assists.
