Valencia got the thriller and defeated Murcia 93 – 91 on the road and stays close to Real Madrid and Fuenlabrada on top in the 2017-2018 Spanish League.
With three seconds remaining, Bojan Dubljevic emerged as the saviour and gave his team the victory with a great play in the low post (he also scored 17 and grabbed 7 rebounds). Alex Urtasun had a chance to force overtime, but he couldn’t score.
Rafa Martínez dropped 17 points but Vitor Benite led the game in scoring with 29.
While Valencia got an important win in Murcia, Real Madrid cruised Unicaja at home. Jaycee Carroll scored 29 points for Los Blancos and Luka Doncic also contributed with 18, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Earlier in the day, Estudiantes defeated Barcelona thanks to a great fourth quarter (25 – 9) and Beaubois gave Baskonia the win over Gipuzkoa with a game winner. Finally, Fuenlabrada won in Sevilla to continue undefeated (5 – 0).
