Unicaja keeps their “Copa Del Rey” hopes alive after the home victory.

Unicaja got an important win over Valencia Basket in their first meeting of the week in Malaga 74 – 67. The hosts jumped to a 7-7 record while the “Taronjas” fell to 10-4.

Rafa Martinez (14 p.) had the chance to send the game to overtime but he missed. Sam van Rossom also scored 14 points.

Nemanja Nedovic led the winners with 14 points while Carlos Suarez contributed with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

Earlier in the day, Barcelona got an easy victory on the road against Gipuzkoa Basket 101 – 77. The visiting team was leading by 14 at the half and nothing changed after that. Petteri Koponen and Sasha Vezenkov combined for 35 points and 8 three-pointers.

Baskonia and Real Madrid will close Round 13 tomorrow (3/1).
