Valencia was insanely hot from downtown.

Valencia reacted in style after the EuroLeague defeat to Fenerbahce by crushing Zaragoza 103 – 58 in “La Fonteta”.

The reigning Spanish League champions poured down 15 3-pointers (out of 25 attempts) on their opponents and generally delivered an offensive clinic despite lacking top scorer Erick Green.

But Valencia was equally strong on the defensive end. Zaragoza managed merely 17 (!) points combined in the second and third period after dropping 28 in the first period.

Fernando San Emeterio did everything for the “Taronja” with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists while Tibor Pleiss scored 14 points. Croatian sharpshooter Damjan Rudez had a season-high 13 points with 3/6 from beyond the arc.

Bo McCalebb was the only one who stood out for Zaragoza with 18 points, 7 assists.

Valencia improved to a 10 – 5 record while Zaragoza fell to 5 – 10 and was left out of the Copa Del Rey race.
