In a game that won’t be really remembered for the quality of basketball that was played, Barcelona resumed its activities in the Spanish league by beating Murcia 61 – 55 on the road.

It was a sloppy offensive performance for both teams, especially in the first half that finished with the poor 22 – 26 (!) for the Blaugrana. The two teams finished with a combined 33% on their shooting attempts. Barcelona was just more effective down the stretch to leave the court victorious.

With the score 45-45, two minutes into the fourth quarter, Ante Tomic scored 8 points and Victor Claver 4 to help their team overcome its opponents. Tomic finished with 13 points plus 7 rebounds while Claver had 12 and 5 boards. Pau Ribas also scored 13 for Barcelona.

Sadiel Rojas (14 points, 8 rebounds) and Clevin Hannah (13 points) were Murcia’s top performers.
