Day 25 had it all, close games, incredible performances, and upsets.
In Malaga, Real Madrid won an absolute thriller thanks to Fabien Causeur’s clutch performance.
It all came down to the fourth quarter. With 30 seconds to go, Malaga was up by two points (86-84), but Fabien Causeur’s three-pointer gave Real Madrid the edge (86-87). Nedovic, however, went to the free-throw line, converted on both free-throws (88-87) and Malaga was up with twelve seconds left. With two seconds remaining, Causeur scored the shot of the night to win it for the visitors.
The 30-year old finished with 21 points, and the game-winner of the night. Luka Doncic added 10 points and nine assists. Madrid improved to 22-3, still remaining first in the standings.
On Saturday, led by Matt Janning and Toko Shengelia, Bskonia defeated San Sebastian on the road, while Andorra scored 100 points on Zaragoza.
Earlier on Sunday (01/04), Sylven Landesberg had a game for the ages, scoring 48 points (8/11 3p.), as well as scoring clutch buckets down the stretch to lead Estudiantes over Barcelona. Barcelona has now slipped to a 17-8 record. Joventut Badalona defeated Gran Canaria in overtime (92-91), thanks to Nicolas Laprovitova impressive performance (22 p. 7a.). Tenerife also got an important win on the road, defeating Bilbao.
Finally, Murcia defeated Valencia on the road.
