After being down by 17 points, Unicaja Malaga responded perfectly and defeated Monbus Obradoiro 91-97 in the extra period.
The hosts seemed to have control of the game early on as they picked up a 17 point lead (45-28) in the first twenty minutes of the contest. In the second half, Unicaja came back and tied the game up with 25 seconds on the clock (85-85) as Diaz hit a big three-pointer. The game was eventually decided in overtime with Unicaja’s defense playing a major role in the success.
Nemanja Nedovic finished with 19 points, and six assists, while Alberto Diaz added 18 points. For the losing side, Matt Thomas put up 20 points.
Earlier on Wednesday, Barcelona absolutely demolished Real Betis at home, winning by 65 (!) points, their largest victory ever. Bilbao and Estudiantes also picked up easy wins at home against Gran Canaria and Tecnyconta
Finally, San Pablo Burgos and Gipuzkoa came out on top.
*On Tuesday (10/04), Real Madrid defeated Joventut as Luka Doncic flirted with a triple-double.
