Gary Neal scored a season-high 37 points, including the last nine of his team in the game, and grabbed seven rebounds leading CAI Zaragoza to a vital 85 – 83 victory over Unicaja Malaga on the road.
This result helps Zaragoza to remain just above the Spanish League relegation zone with a 10 – 22 record. Second-to-last Bilbao is 9 – 23 while Real Betis is in the bottom of the standings with 7 – 25.
Apart from Neal who particularly erupted in the last minutes with his team down 76 – 74, Milko Bjelica had 15 points and five boards for Zaragoza.
Jeff Brooks and Sasu Salin got distinguished from Malaga with 17 and 16 points respectively. Their team is sixth with 18 – 14.
