It wasn’t easy against a feisty Iberostar Tenerife, but Real Madrid had things under control on the way to an 83-73 win and a 1-0 start in the Spanish Liga Endesa playoffs.

Jaycee Carroll with 15 points on 15 minutes of action and 5/7 field goals provided instant offense for Madrid, while Luka Doncic finished the game with 14 points. Before the game, the team presented the EuroLeague trophy to Real Madrid fans.

Tenerife managed to make it a five-point game (74-69) with three minutes left, but couldn’t get closer. Doncic answered with a three (77-69) and sealed the deal for Real Madrid.

Mike Tobey with 21 points was the top scorer of the guests, Tim Abromaitis had 15 and veteran sharpshooter Kostas Vasileiadis added 12 points for coach Fotis Katsikaris’ team.
