The 92-89 overtime road win over Valencia send Gran Canaria to the Liga Endesa semifinals and also for the first time ever in the club history in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Marcus Eriksson with 18 points on 6/8 threes was the hero of the night and made some of the biggest plays of the game. He had the support of Gal Mekel (12 p. 8 as.), Ondrej Balvin (12 p. 12 r.) and Xavi Rabaseda (10 p.) as Gran Canaria was trailing by 10 points (70-60) with four minutes left in regulation, but managed to send the game to overtime.

Mekel was fouled with just one tenth of a second left on the clock and with two free throws tied the score at 81 to force extra time. Fernando San Emeterio with 22 points had an amazing night, Sam Van Rossom added 17 points, but when it was all said and done, Valencia missed a golden chance to play for a second straigh year in the EuroLeague.

The season is over for the hosts, while Gran Canaria will face Real Madrid in the semifinals of Liga Endesa.
