Valencia shooting guard Matt Thomas was absolutely sizzling in the annual 3-point contest of the Spanish Supercup en route to winning the champion’s trophy.
Thomas notched 27 points in his quarterfinal vs. Barcelona guard Kyle Kuric and also 27 in the semifinal against San Sebastian wing Alberto Corbacho. The 24-year-old American player then dropped 26 in the Final to beat Third Division player Oscar Herrero.
That’s a total of 80 points which marks the top performance ever in the history of the contest.
