Real Madrid guard Sergio Llull was named MVP of the Spanish Supercup after leading the team to winning the trophy for the fifth time in the history of the club and first since 2014.

This is the second SuperCup MVP honor for Llull who was the top player overall for Real in the two games of the tournament. The 30-year-old guard scored 17 points and dished out six assists in the semifinal win over Obradoiro and then notched 14 points plus three assists in the Final, against Baskonia.

Throughout his career, Llull has also won MVP of the Spanish League season (2017), Finals (2015, 2016) and Copa Del Rey (2012, 2017). He was also the EuroLeague MVP in 2017.

Llull spent most of 2017-2018 on the sidelines due to an ACL injury he sustained in a Spanish national team game prior to the EuroBasket 2017. He joined Real during the EuroLeague playoffs and helped his team advance to the Final Four and win the title. Some weeks afterward he and Real also won the ACB crown.
