San Pablos Burgos prevailed over Kirolbet Baskonia (82-79) and proved once more than it’s not easy to win on the road in the Spanish Liga Endesa.

The hosts jumped to a 24-18 first quarter lead and held it until the end of the third quarter (68-65). However, Baskonia was close and the last period ended up being a dogfight.

With two minutes left on the clock, Branden Frazier with a three gave a 79-77 lead to Burgos. Matt Janning answered with one made free throw (79-78), veteran Deon Thompson answered the same way (80-78) for Burgos and French big man Vincent Poirier also failed to tie the score (80-79) making only one free throw.

Goran Huskic with one minute left made the shot that created the final score (82-79) as both sides couldn’t score during the last 60 seconds of the game. He finished the game with 13 points, while Frazier had 14. For the losing side, captain Toko Shengelia had 18 points, but they were not enough.
