Fuenlabrada snapped the undefeated streak of Barcelona in the Spanish ACB League by taking a 79 – 73 win at home, mostly thanks to a top-notch output in the last stretch of the match.

With the score 62 – 64 and a bit less than five minutes remaining, Luka Rupnik scored eight points in a row, including two triples, to lead his team through a decisive 11 – 2 partial score for the 73 – 66. Barca didn’t manage to react and thus saw its previously unscathed record drop to 6 – 1.

Fuenlabrada improved to 3-4 and once again approached the ACB playoff zone. Rupnik finished the game with 15 points in 17:30 minutes, while veteran Marko Popovic scored 11 (including a 3-pointer during the 11-2 run) and Pako Cruz 10.

Thomas Heurtel (14 points), Pierre Oriola (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Kyle Kuric (12 points) were the best that Barca had to offer in the game.
