Adam Hanga scored a season-high 24 points, grabbed six rebounds and stole the ball four times, leading Barcelona to a 94 – 80 victory over Candelas Breogan for Round 16 of the Spanish ACB regular season.

This win improved Barcelona to 14 – 2 and got them first place in the league at the mid of the 2018-2019 campaign. Breogan dropped to 6 – 10.

The Blaugrana established a double-digit lead in the first half (50 – 38) but Breogan came back to tie the game 54 – 54 in the mid of the third period. Hanga, together with Thomas Heurtel (10 points, five assists) put Barca up by double figures again and the hosts were never threatened for the remainder of the match.

Aleksandar Cvetkovic scored 16 points and Alec Brown 14 for Breogan. Chris Singleton added 14 points for Barcelona.

Earlier today (13/1), Real Madrid overcame CAI Zaragoza thanks to a game-winning putback dunk by Anthony Randolph while Vincent Poirier’s free throw with two seconds remaining gave Baskonia road win over Joventut Badalona.

Valencia beat Gran Canaria 83 – 76 and got closer to punching a Copa Del Rey ticket.
