Within the Copa del Rey final turmoil, Real Madrid is probing legal actions to leave ACB. Besides analyzing the financial damage of a potential departure, the Spaniards will seek their members’ opinion before completing their exit from the Spanish League.

On its part, ACB itself could suffer major economic problems without Real in its competitions. Endesa and Movistar don’t have to face any kind of clause to void their contracts if either Real or FC Barcelona Lassa detach from the domestic tournaments.

According to Palco23, Pablo Laso’s side was the most watched team on television during the previous ACB season. The club accounted for 55% of the spectators, 68,007 people only watched the Blancos. These numbers could prove enough for Movistar to cancel its contract if Real exits.
