ACB president Antonio Martin has expressed his concern for the 2019-2020 EuroLeague calendar that was agreed between the league and ELPA (EuroLeague Players Association), as it was announced Monday (8/4).

Per ACB, Martin has shown his concern on the calendar, after the “unexpected decision of EuroLeague” to move the 2020 Final Four one week later than when the weekend it was usually held. This move “alters the room planned for playoffs of national leagues,” ACB says.

The 2020 Final Four is planned to take place from May 21 to May 24 while this season, the tournament will be played on May 17 – 19.

ACB also mentions that clubs are looking towards future meetings with the governing bodies of EuroLeague and FIBA in order to study solutions for an “increasingly complicated schedule” plus the “normal development of the ACB competitions.
