Shavon Shields scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed five rebounds as Baskonia downed Andorra 84 – 82 for Round 27 of the Spanish ACB League regular season.
Baskonia improved it record to 20 – 7 and remained in pursuit of second-placed Real Madrid (20 – 6) and first Barcelona (23-4). The Basques’ next game is Game 1 of the EuroLeague quarterfinals against CSKA Moscow Tuesday (16/4).
This was the 14th loss of the season for Andorra that remained below the playoffs zone, at the ninth spot. Jon Shurna had 23 points and Rafa Luz 15 vs. Baskonia.
Apart from Shields, Patricio Garino scored 12 while Tornike Shengelia had 11 points and nine boards.
