Unicaja Malaga prevailed over Movistar Estudiantes on the road with an 80-72 victory in Round 30 of the Spanish League.
Luis Casimiro’s squad improved to an 18-12 record in the standings and remain in the fifth position while also chasing Valencia (19-10) ahead of the playoffs. Things aren’t that bright for Estudiantes, that’s just one victory above the relegation zone (10-19) and will have to fight hard to remain in the league.
Kyle Wiltjer paced the winners with 17 points and four rebounds across 21 minutes on the court, while Giorgi Shermadini contributed 12 points and eight boards in 22 minutes.
