Barcelona routed Gran Canaria to stay at the top of the Spanish League standings in front of Real Madrid while Baskonia follows them after winning over Manresa.

Barcelona didn’t show any fatigue coming from Game 5 of EuroLeague playoffs and dominated Gran Canaria 97-77 on the road on Day 30 of Spanish League.

Thomas Heurtel led the winning side with 20 points on 7-8 shooting (3-4 triples) while adding seven assists in addition to Victor Claver’s 13 points and nine boards. For Gran Canaria, Jacob Wiley scored 19 and Marcus Eriksson 11 points.

Barca improved to 24-6 and kept the top of the standings in front of Real Madrid which has the same record.

Baskonia follows behind them as third-placed (23-7) after they got the job done against Manresa with an 82-71 home win.

Darrun Hilliard scored 16 points for the victors followed by Tornike Shengelia and Marcelinho Huertas’ 14 points each with the latter also dishing eight assists. For Manresa, Gabriel Lundberg nailed 20 and Ryan Toolson 13 points.

Gran Canaria now holds an 11-19 record while Manresa stays at 16-14 and is still in the playoff zone.
