Despite a slow start, Baskonia bounced back and with a late fourth-quarter surge broke Joventut for an 87-81 home win on Day 33 of Spanish League.
Darrun Hilliard led the way with 24 points while Patricio Garino scored 17 (5-7 triples) in addition to Vincent Poirier’s 14 points.
For Joventut, Nicolas Laprovittola scored 21 points followed by Thaddus McFadden’s 12 and Xabier Lopez-Arostegui’s ten points.
Real Madrid stayed at the top with 27-6 and will have a chance to seal it in the last round while Baskonia and Barcelona follow them with 26-7 records in front of Valencia (22-11) and Unicaja (20-13).
