Real Madrid made short work of archrival Barcelona.

Spanish ACB League defending champion Real Madrid took quite the statement win in Game 1 of the Finals. With six players scoring in double figures, the “Blancos” dominated Barcelona 87 – 67 to take a 1-0 lead.

Real led from start to finish and spent the vast majority of the game up by double figures thanks to their superior execution. With 6:46 remaining, Pablo Laso’s players took a 20-point lead, 74 – 54. A comeback attempt by Barcelona following a 7- 0 run was thwarted.

Facu Campazzo scored a game-high 19 points and dished out four assists in 23:48. Sergio Llull (11 points, four assists in 16:26), Anthony Randolph (11 points, four rebounds) Jeff Taylor (11 points) and Rudy Fernandez (10 points) completed the winning equation for Real.

Thomas Heurtel (14 points), Pierre Oriola (13 points, six rebounds) and Victor Claver (7 points, 12 rebounds) were the top contributors of Barcelona. The Blaugrana will look to bounce back in Game 2 held in Madrid, Monday (17/6).
