Sergio Llull is days away from starting the FIBA World Cup preparations with the Spanish national team and took the time to visit the Nike Camp in Andorra.
Of course, the media got a hold of him for a few questions and one of those was about Nikola Mirotic signing with Barcelona Lassa: “Every one of us was a bit surprised by this signing because it was the biggest news of the summer. He is a great player and a very good addition for them. One more challenge for us to face in the coming season”, he said, per MARCA.
Real Madrid had the additions of their own, one of them being the Spanish League MVP in Nico Laprovittola: “Everyone knows how Nico plays and the quality he has. A player who ended up being the MVP of the ACB League and that’s not easy at all. I’m sure Nico will bring us many positive things.”
Llull had some ups and downs due to trouble with injuries during the past couple of seasons but has recuperated and hopes the upcoming World Cup in China will be his turning point: “Happy and also very excited. We always compete to the maximum and we hope to get as far as possible and qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. I hope that the World Cup will be a turning point in my game, I will try to give 100% and I will contribute my bit to reach as far as possible with the national team.”
