The president of the Italian Basketball Federation, Giovanni Petrucci, wrote a letter to Kobe Bryant inviting him to Italy for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament that will take place in Turin.
In the letter, president Petrucci specifically mentions that it will be an honor for the Italian national team to have Kobe at their side.
The NBA legend spent a large part of his childhood in Italy, since his father played professional basketball there. Since he has such strong bonds with Italy, it won’t be a surprise if we see him there on July for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
