J.J. Hickson was arrested on Friday 15th of June in Coweta County under charges of “frightening home invasion”, per Kerry Charles of FOX 5 Atlanta.

Deputies revealed that at least two people were involved in the invasion but only Hickson was charged so far: “The victim was beaten up pretty good and they took some personal items from the residence and at that point in time through the help of a canvass we were able to identify a suspect and a suspect vehicle. We were able to identify a suspect from that.”, Captain John Kennedy of Coweta County Sheriff’s Office explained.

The charges include armed robbery in connection with a home invasion and he is expected to go before a judge on Saturday. While getting escorted to Coweta County Jail, Hickson remained quiet and did not answer any questions.

J.J. Hickson was drafted by Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008 NBA Draft as 19th overall pick and spent eight years (2008-2016) in the League playing for five teams (Cavaliers, Kings, Blazers, Nuggets, Wizards – in that order) before going overseas to play in China and Lebanon. He is currently playing for Lebanese club Champville SC.
