Bayern suffered its first defeat of the season in Germany.

MHP Riesen defeated visiting Bayern with an 81-74 victory, leading Oliver Kostic’s team to its first defeat of the season in the German League.

Khadeen Carrington paced the winning side with 25 points and seven rebounds, while on the other end of the court Greg Monroe tried to keep Bayern on track with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists.

The hosts kept Bayern at 10 points in the first period, while leading 37-31 at halftime. Despite Monroe’s efforts in the second half, Bayern’s late surge fell short in the end.

Despite the defeat, Bayern still remains on top of the standings (14-1), followed by MHP Riesen (12-3), ALBA (10-3) and EWE Baskets (10-5).
