Brose Bamberg managing director Arne Dirks doesn’t think that it will be possible for the 2019-2020 German BBL League to continue amid the coronavirus crisis.

“We don’t believe that the situation will be improved so that it [the league] can still be played, Dirks said to the “Current Sports Studio” of ZDF, per Sport 1. The German League was initially suspended until April 30.

Dirks and Bamberg are already looking forward to the 2020-2021 campaign. “We wanted to clearly communicate that an end has to be found and that we have to look towards the new season,” he said.

Bamberg is currently at the seventh spot of the BBL standings.
